Title: Fine, flyaway hair at the neck Post by bikerbraid on May 7th, 2003 at 11:27am
I have very fine hair. When I put my hair up into some sort of updo (like a bun), I have all these squiggly, fly away hairs at the nape of my neck. These always make my "do" look messy. :P I have been using either a bit of jojoba oil or aloe vera to try to tame them into place, but does anyone have any other suggestions? ???

I can tell from your picture under your name that you do have a lot of flyaways. You could always use the natural hairspray in the Hair Care Recipe Cookbook, I find it works very well.

Just an update - I heard that a dab of hand lotion controls flyaways well.

That might work for some. I am allergic to the perfumes used in most hand/body lotions, plus many contain ingredients I'm not sure I would want on the fragile hair.
