How do all of you find those good websites?? Every time I do a search the sites I find all tell you to "blow dry straight, put in gel" etc and I won't let a drier NEAR my hair! I love my waves and even when getting my cut I come home with it wet! And also apparently long hair, according to most people, is shoulder length. Well what's mid-back then? SUPER long?? Hahaha ... anyway does anyone have any tips on searching for good hair sites?

I find Google to be a good search engine. Searching on "long hair" has given me good results. "Hair braiding" and searches similar to that will also give you some good options. You are wise to stay away from the hair dryer! If you are looking for other sites that will provide excellent suggestions on caring for your long hair, try http://www.tlhs.org/index.html and http://www.longhaircommunity.com/ The definitions of "long" certainly do vary. In the general population I do think that anything below the shoulders is considered long. But in the "long hair" circles, where the length can be to the floor, super long would be below the waist. Politically correct posters avoid defining "long" so as not to offend anyone (especially those just starting their long hair journey). |

Sorry, in the post above mine (which now looks as though it's been deleted) - someone asked if anyone else kept a hair book..... sorry to confuse you!

Here's another cool site, for those of you (like me) who love vintage hairstyles. I found it while googling Edwardian clothing and hairstyle sites.
