Title: Suggestions please?? Post by robin on Jan 6th, 2003 at 2:04pm
My future daughter-in-law has asked me for suggestions for her BSL hair for the wedding (yes, she really asked me! I am in shock too) :o. Anyone have suggestions or links to sites with photos I can share with her?

Maybe you find some encouragement at
http://www.hochzeit.galenski.de/ The website is done in German...look at the left side and you will find the item "Bildergalerie" and subordinate "Hochzeitsfrisuren I- XIII" There must be hundreds of wedding hairstyles! |

Thank you! What a variety. Good thing I don't need to understand German to enjoy the photos.

what about a nice pair of hair sticks from longlocks.com from their bridal collection...they are a beautiful touch when her veil comes off.....
ginny I did a simple french braid and then pulled the end up behind the braid and tied it off with ribbon at the top. I wished I had a pair of hair sticks then. It hurts a little when you are working the end of the braid back up behind the braid to the top but it is a very pretty and classic look. |

I was stumped as to a hairstyle for my wedding, also. I did not have (or want) a headpiece, so I went to my salon and sat with my hairdresser for about an hour. We finally agreed on a perimeter braid with baby's breath entwined through the braid. I found a picture of the same braid (although her hair is shorter than mine) at http://www.dreamweaver.com/braids/perimeter.htm. Good luck!

Forgive me - but what does BSL stand for? What kind of hair does she have and do you know what kind of headpiece - these are all really important things in determining what kind of hairdo to do (I just celebrated my 1 year anniversary, so I know this subject well!)

What did you do with your hair for your wedding, Space_Cadet?

I had a crown type headpiece (I wanted to be a princess! since we got engaged in front of Cinderella's castle in Disney World!) and my hair was mostly in larger curls that were pinned and contained inside of the headpiece - the hair in front was rolled (kind of coiled) back to the part where the headpiece started and then the curls were pinned back there - this was done around about 3/4 of my head with the rest just hanging loose in curls - the veil was attached to the back of the tiara and hang over the bottom part of my hair

BSL = bra strap length Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary. How did you wear your hair for your wedding? |

See above post actually :D
At the time of teh wedding, when dry my hair was probably BSL then, it's actually longer when straightened or wet... |

Space Cadet;
LOL, I was typing my question as you were answering it! Your wedding hair sounds beautiful and very princess-like. |
